School Objective
Danbury Training Center, LLC (DTC) is a private vocational school giving dedicated individuals an opportunity to find success for their futures. With a minimum amount of time and expense, DTC students can acquire the technical, hands-on and personal skills needed to succeed in booming and exciting health care field.

Facility Description
DTC is within walking distance of the Danbury Train Station and conveniently located on the downtown Danbury Main Street bus line.

School Staff
Our friendly instructors and office staff are here to help you in way they can. The office staff is available Monday thru Friday 8:30AM - 5:30PM, and after hours/weekends by appointment only.

Student Services
DTC provides flexible scheduling, training, monitoring of academic progress and information about Certification Tests and State Registry Examinations. Upon successful completion of a program and certification/testing, we offer job placement assistance. Please turn to your program outline page for more information on Certifications and State Registry Examination requirements.

Discrimination Policy
DTC prohibits discrimination in the areas of education, employment, and in the provisions of services on account of race, religion, sex, marital status, national origin, mental disability and criminal records that are not job related. Individuals with felony convictions may have difficulty finding employment in health care.

Grading Policy
Students must achieve a grade point average of 75% on each written and/or oral daily test/quiz. Retakes for achievements below 75% can be done up to 3 times based on the schedules availability and the discretion of the Instructor and/or Director. If a student fails a second test/quiz only 2 retakes will be allowed. Students who fail the allowed retakes will be dismissed and required to re-register and redo the entire course at the next available date.

A=EXCELLENT (90% – 100%) B=VERY GOOD (80% – 89%)
C=GOOD (75% – 79%) F= FAILING (74% or below)

Attendance Policy
All students must maintain a 100% attendance record to fulfill the required classroom hours and clinical hours of instruction. Students are responsible for notifying the school if they will be late to or absent from a class. If a student fails to give the school notice of their tardiness or absence and cannot provide a doctor’s note, the student will be asked to leave the class/facility for the day and will be responsible for rescheduling with the school for “make-up” time. Students are not allowed to leave the classroom or clinical training floor without the authorization of the instructor. If a student is blatantly tardy and continuously unprepared for class/clinical instruction, the student will be directed to the school director and written up for not following the schools policy on conduct.

School Closings
Inclement Weather Closings — School delays and closings due to inclement weather will be announced by the School and over local TV stations - NBC NETWORK (DANBURY - CHANNEL 30). Hours will be made up accordingly.

Holiday Closings — Easter Sunday, Independence Day, Labor Day, Memorial Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Years Day.

Conduct Policy
Non-conformity with DTC rules and policies regarding: the use or possession of alcohol or controlled drugs while on school or clinical property; possession of weapons while on school or clinical property; violating the law so as to damage or jeopardize the school’s reputation; intentional disruption or obstruction of school activities, including but not limited to the use of cell phones or other electronic devices during class or clinical training; failure to meet attendance policy requirements; and deliberate dishonesty including cheating, plagiarism, giving false information or altering institutional documents.

Withdrawal & Refund Policy
Students must notify the office of their intent to withdrawal from the program 2 business days prior to the beginning of class. Having done so, DTC will refund all monies to the registered student, not including the non-refundable registration fee. If a student withdraws from the program after the first class has begun, no refund will be due, and all payment arrangements must still be honored. Please allow approximately 2 to 4 weeks to process all refunds.

Termination & Refund Policy
DTC reserves the right to dismiss a student on any of the following grounds: Unsatisfactory academic progress (a grade point average below 75%); failure to maintain a 100% attendance record of the program hours; and/or non-conformity of conduct policies as stated above. Furthermore, a class must have a minimum of 6 students to commence. If the minimum amount of students is not met, all monies will be refunded to the registered student. Notification of cancellation will be given 2 days before the scheduled class. Please note, if a student is dismissed from the program after the first class has begun, no refund will be due as stated above and in the Enrollment Agreement Form.

 
 

Complaints/Inquiries

If a DTC student has a complaint, he/she should discuss it with
an instructor first, then the Administrator or Director. If
the student is still not satisfied with the course of action,
